Diet murmura namkeen recipe

Diet Murmura Namkeen Recipe | Salted puffed rice | How to make Laiya Namkeen

Diet Murmura Namkeen Recipe makes healthy and delicious snack of puffed rice. It is very easy to make and does not contain too many calories. It is perfect for light snacking. Murmura namkeen is a great accompaniment with a cup of hot tea.

We can easily digest murmura or puffed rice. Since murmura or muri is basically rice that is puffed up, it has more volume, and is light. It is ideal for snacking between meals.

Low in calories, it does not contain many nutrients as well. Thus mixing it with other nutritive ingredients is a good idea. It can increase the volume and add crunch to a preparation. It is used extensively in many Indian snacks and street foods. I still remember enjoying jhaal muri in my train journey through Bihar and Bengal. And bhel puri is of course a very popular street food across India.

I watched this interesting video that shows the making of puffed. You can watch it here.

You may also like chivda namkeen recipe, another diet namkeen made from flattened rice or chivda/poha. I also make atta biscuits to enjoy with my tea. These are whole wheat flour cookies, and are eggless. Whenever I am in the mood to eat something warm and spicy, but at the same time healthy, I make Moradabadi moong dal chaat and sometimes kaale chane ke kababs.
