Nutella chocolate mug cake in two minutes
It is an easy recipe to make cake in no time. Ingredients are directly added to the mug, and mixed properly. They are cooked in microwave for less than two minutes, and the cake is ready.

  1. Add all the ingredients one by one to a largish microwave proof mug.
  2. Stir and mix the contents of the mug properly. I used a fork, and it served the purpose. If you have anything better to mix the ingredients, use it.
  3. Check for any lumps of dry ingredient left in the mug. Scratch the bottom properly to be sure no flour is sticking in the corners of the mug. When first time I made the cake, I found white lump of flour stuck at the corners of the mug while eating the cake.
  4. Put the mug in microwave and microwave the contents on high for 1 minute. Open and check the contents. Microwave for another 30 seconds and check the contents once again. Keep repeating this step till the cake is done. Do not over cook the cake. In fact it should be slightly under cooked. If you prefer fully baked cake, then microwave accordingly. Mine was done in 1 minute and 30 seconds. Time differ for different microwaves.
  5. Once done, take out the mug. Your cake is ready to be consumed. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce on the top as I did. Other option is to add some whipped cream on top.
  6. Enjoy this 2 minutes chocolate cake when it is still hot!
Recipe Notes
Tips:
  • Take a slightly large mug. The contents expand and tend to fall off the mug, when we microwave. You can also keep a microwave proof plate or tray below the mug to avoid soiling of the microwave in case of spillage.
  • Be careful when you take out the mug after microwaving. The mug as well as content might be very hot.
  • You can add chocolate chips, roasted hazelnut, or dry fruits, raisins etc. in the cake if you want.
